Susan Rooksby

Susan Rooksby
Susan grew up on Long Island, New York and attended Ladycliff College, just outside the gates of West Point, where she studied fine arts & early childhood education. Marriage to a graduate gave her the opportunity to live in Europe and be inspired by the art and architecture of the classic masters. After raising her children, Susan earned a Fider Accredited B.A. degree in Interior Design at Marymount University in Arlington Virginia.
Susan’s career started with a model home design firm as a junior designer and progressed to a position at a national corporate home builder as the director of design. This position exposed Susan to new home product from the east coast to the west coast. Her team was involved with the building process, from architectural plans to the completion of M.A.M.E. award wining model home projects.
Susan has been with Paysage as a residential designer since 2008. Susan has an amazing ability to listen and create to the unique desires of each client. She treats each project with the same delicate care and patience that she would her own home.
Susan now resides on Topsail Island and the coastal sounds, smells and scenery are a beautiful and important inspiration for her creative process in designing interiors.
